About Judy Mitchell

Judy Mitchell is a renowned artist known for her captivating pottery and mesmerizing watercolor paintings. Her journey in the world of art began in the serene landscapes of upstate New York and has flourished into a remarkable body of work that reflects her passion for nature and creativity.
With a keen eye for detail and a love for experimentation, Judy's art transports viewers into a world of vibrant colors and intricate designs. Each piece is a testament to her dedication and artistic prowess, making her a celebrated figure in the art community.
Judy graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Art. Since then she has been teaching art and developing skills in all media, especially watercolor and pottery.

Inspiration for her work, especially her watercolors, has come from her many visits to the Caribbean and from her home now in Southwest Florida. Not only have they been the source for much of her subject matter, but also for her appreciation of light, color and contrast.

Judy's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and venues, including juried shows in both Maine and Florida. She enjoys teaching and has taught classes in watercolor in Maine and Florida. She has also been involved in the pottery studio at the Ringling Collage of Art in Englewood Florida and the Southwest Florida Potters Institute.
